I wonder what they're going to do with The Vulture.

I'm so down for this. I love Doc Ock but have not enjoyed how the character has been written for what, 10+ years now? And I'll never look at him the same after Superior Spider-Man #2

So I am primed and ready for a new iteration of the character I have a chance of enjoying

I don't know about Harry losing Gwen. On the one hand, Gwen Stacy is known for dying (and for having spider powers). On the other, precisely because Gwen is known for dying it's tiresome.

On the one hand, if you're going to kill off a character you need to develop them to have emotional impact. On the other, if you develop a character to the point that their death has emotional impact, then it's a waste to kill them.
    The eternal catch-22.

He was straight up Doogie Howser in the 2017 show.

    Skinny Doc Ock feels wrong.

Didn't mind it in USM vol 1 and don't mind it here. The character's body type is not important to me.

If he says "the die is cast" though? My sigh will be so heavy that it triggers a tsunami.

Visually I think it's important to Doc Ock that he be chubby or at least heavyset.

I guess the idea might be to lean more into the dark mirror of Peter aspect of his character by making him more closely resemble younger 616 Peter, though it also feels a tad CW.

I mean, Superior reference or not, it is something I can believe Otto Octavious would say .

I don't think his weight is important at all personally. It certainly isn't to me. Like I said, I didn't mind Ultimate Ock who was muscular and didn't have a hint of a belly.

Like most things, we have diverging opinions.

That preview is really making me think they're setting Gwen up to be a Big Bad. I'm getting so many villain vibes off her.
harryosborn.net -Me rereading every single comic that has Harry Osborn in it, and also writing some articles.
