616 Peter is meeting Insomniac Peter face to face in Spider-Man Unlimited

The new Spider-Man Unlimited Digital Marvel Unlimited ongoing by Christos Gage has released its third issue, and Peter comes face to face with Insomniac Peter at the end, it seems like they are gonna face off. This is a canon series, the synopsis even says so to get people more interested in it, so I wanted to let everyone know in case they want to check it out because this is a pretty cool moment lol. Now I just need Peter to meet Ultimate Peter officially

I really like the art too, it’s a very unique style, definitely something to check out if people want something more lighthearted than ASM, it just sucks cause this should be a huge moment for these 2 Peter’s to meet but since it’s an Unlimited series there is no discussion about it

I doubt they'll be referenced in the upcoming game. But a passing remark or something would be neat.

I think the best way to reference this would be to put the Spider-Bot 616 Otto left behind in the game as a little Easter egg or collectible, since the Spider-Man 2 prequel seems to confirm Spidergeddon is seen as canon

New issue just dropped, it’s pretty good basically Spot tells Insomniac Peter that he can offer him a way to time travel and fix the mistakes of his past, 616 Peter knows it’s never a good idea since he’s an experienced time traveler who’s had to deal with this choice multiple times before, so they fight. Seems like next issue will be 616 Pete consoling Insomniac Peter over the loss of May. I’ll see if I can get some screenshots for this thread because there’s never much online discussion about these issues!

It's kind of hilarious that 616 Peter is meant to be the one speaking with moral authority when it comes to actually letting the ones you love go. First it was with Ben in Clone Conspiracy, now it's with a variant of himself who actually let Aunt May die in accordance with her wishes.

Kind of feels like Insomniac Peter's kind of getting character assassinated here, tbh. Kind of feel like Miguel would yeet him out of the Spider Society for this sort of thing.

I was kind of hopeful when this whole thing started, I really enjoyed some of Gage's earlier work (I'm a huge Avengers Academy fan), and the last issue was pretty good, but I was a bit put out that Blue Marvel and Spidey acted like they only knew each other thourgh Monica when they'd actually worked together on the Mighty Avengers. In that very undersea base! Adam even praised Peter's scientific acumen IIRC. Plus the whole Doom angle. You could have straight up have had Spidey just find out the Spot was in the morgue and kicked the plot off that way and it would have made more sense. And now there's this turn...Gage is going to have to make some pretty major course corrections, frankly.
