It's possible. The general vibe I always got from it was that Gage was pretty pissed off that he HAD to do it, especially after everything he did in the book and the sheer character development.
Superior Vol 2 seriously felt like "Here's an ongoing. It's going to last a good while." and then "Oh, did you get your narrative up and running? Yeah, you're gonna have to kill it all"
I haven't read it but it doesn't surprise me to hear that. They obviously want to keep 616 as Prime Spider-Man but have recently written him as a joke while Insomniac Spidey is at the peak of his career and firing on all cylinders. I suspected that both of them would read as out of whack with what we've come to understand of them (recently in the case of 616).
Does it end in a draw?
So Insomniac Peter is going to give advice to 616 Peter on how to fix things with MJ?
They also confirm that Insomniac Peter has never met Gwen
New issue is out, it’s pretty much 616 Peter showing Insomniac Peter the ropes of dimension traveling, meeting evenly doppelgängers, etc. They travel to a version of the Insomniac universe where Peter went evil from using Otto’s technology to create a suit with arms that is identical to the MCU Iron Spider lol, so it’s kind of a cool visual
