Most kids and young adults don't spend this much time talking about how much sex a character has, let alone on forums like this. Most people know Cyborg from a tv show where practically no one dated and it didn't remotely impact his popularity. This conversation is largely a bunch of adults projecting their perspectives on people younger than them.

So what is your preferred Cyborg look, because all you've been doing is arguing about people not liking certain aspects of Cyborg and wanting different designs.

This as well. Never understood the bulky designs for Cyborg. I get in the cartoon it was yo differentiate from the other slim designs of the Titans. I also wish they'd bring back the blue in his designs. Works way more for interesting color than full silver or silver and red.

I’d prefer that he be what he’s stated to be in the comics. A techno-organic being. If he’s made of advanced alien technology- show it that way! This ain’t the 80’s anymore. Technology advances. Show advancement!

Vic’s the character I want to like but just can’t with how he’s portrayed.

If there were more high profile black DC characters being used, this topic wouldn’t exist to this degree. But they’re not. Cyborg is Justice League…is Titans…and even recently Doom Patrol(TV). One black guy across 3 major teams…and he’s the the one “trapped” in his situation. Repeatedly ripped apart. Shown lacking in legitimate relationships. Questioning his humanity. Getting hacked by inferior tech. Can anyone honestly question why many black readers/comic fans might take issue with Vic’s portrayal?

The faceplate is played out. Real world technology can repair faces yet sci-fi advanced alien technology can’t handle Vic being able to morph his face similar to rest of his body. Only his face can’t, huh? That makes sense to some of y’all?

Something of a cross between his 2003 animated look and his DCYou form.

Keep Vic with the faceplate as Cyborg, but give him holographic abilities so that he could look more normal beyond his super duties. As for the other topic up for debate, allow him to keep his manhood only so I never have to talk about it again! Seriously, that was the last thing I was thinking of back in '80 when I saw him for the first time in an issue of DC Comics Presents.

People exposing themselves as porn addicts.

But on a serious note, I would prefer a casual mode like in Smallville but with some robotic parts visible but his hero mode looks like what we're used to.

    Japanese media doesn't count here.

Lol, I know right. His look shouldn't resemble a mash between a Transformer and a black guy, or a Veritech plane from Robotech! If anything Victor should be closer to Red Tornado, if not better.

Red Tornado is a mannequin painted red with a cape. Be for real.

I think they just... forgot how the cybernetics are supposed to work.

The idea with the original was that it's extensive physical injuries, and not his entire body being gone. But more importantly, it's mostly just his arms and legs.... and face.

The problem with that is now a days we all know an explosion powerful enough to wreck his arms and legs is going to wreck most of his body along with it.

I think a few of y’all ignore/forget how nanotech works in comic books. His origin has been updated and refined since the 80’s. Technology advances.

As someone who has known about nanotechnology before some of you were even born, it's less about being ignorant of the science and more to do with just liking the look that has been ingrained in most people's mind for decades now. Some of you disagree, but I have always felt Vic's original design was extremely cool. But Steve Austin was a cyborg, too, and my generation all thought he was coolness personified without the metal look.

Was he not partially digested by an amorphous alien blob? it explained a bit the uneven extent of the damage. And his man parts could still have survived. Later telling of his origin may have changed that.

    Peace
