It's probaby Gleason's (great) art taking its time. Beyond's conclusion also was pushed back a bit and had him in art chores as well.

I think it was always going to be released on October 11-th, ever since the solicit for the issue came, but you have point about the re-write. All those changes and walkbacks are getting ridiculous, that you cannot at all expect what will happen. At least it's keeping the "2 issues per month" thing and this horrible run will end by the end of October next year.
