I believe he actually celebrated his birthday one day before October 1st.
At 99 years, he is currently the longest-living president. He is married to the same woman for more than 70 years. Both of them must be happy for the whole time. Any couple in the USA must be jealous of Mr. and Mrs. Carter. Some of his successors either are divorcees or have cheated on their wives.
Lieutenant Carter served in the Navy on active duty for seven years. He was the last democratic president to serve in the military.
He is one of the few presidents to receive a Nobel Peace prize.

^^^I remember watching an ep. of MYSTERIES AT THE MUSEUM that told a story about Pres. Carter during his Military service.

Out of all the presidents, Jimmy Carter had the most interesting occupation, peanut farmer.
27 presidents were lawyers, including 3 of the last five presidents, and those three were Democrats. The last three Republican presidents were businessmen.
How many presidents are farmers? George Washington and Thomas Jefferson are planters, but planters don't count as farmers, since they probably never had to work on tilling the field themselves. there is a difference between plantation and a farm.
