Idea for an anthro Amphibian Fantasy RPG

This is a world setting for any Sci-Fi or Fantasy RPG. The inhabitants of this world are anthro amphibians which are anthro frogs, anthro salamanders, and anthro caecilians. A world where different types of frogs and salamanders have special abilities. Where the electromagnetic force is used as a magic system, that's not actually a magic system.


Note: I will need that Thread title changed, because despite what the thread title says. This is Not a RPG. It is a world setting for any Sci-Fi or Fantasy RPG for anyone to use if their doing a Sci-Fi or Fantasy RPG.

Such as the following special abilities.

Tree frogfolk have a special ability that makes them excel at tree climbing and they're the most agile, flexible, and the fastest on land.


Stone Frogfolk have a special ability to harden their bodies to boost their durability, making them the most durable, but their strength is low. so they can tank hits, better than they can dish them out.

The Poison Frogfolk have a special ability to affect targets with Batrachotoxin if they are touched.


Aquatic frogfolk have a special ability to breathe underwater indefinitely and their the fastest underwater.

The Arctic woodland Frogfolk have a special ability to survive being frozen

Horned Frogfolk have the special ability to be able to crush really tough materials in their jaws and are tanky. They also have a special ability to channel the powers of their ancestors Ampinga Frogfolks to greatly boost their physical attributes. Not as durable as the Stone Frogfolk but they have a much higher strength and are the strongest.


Desert rain Frogfolk have a special ability of Self-Sustenance and extreme Temperature Resistance. That can also burrow.

Titan Frogfolk have the special ability of innate cooking skills

Hairy Frogfolk have the special ability to break their s own bones to produce claws. this special ability of theirs comes at a cost as it takes quite sometime for the broken bones to heal once their back in place. So it's not something they pull out often.

Spray Frogfolk, Brooding frogfolk, larvaepartus Frogfolk , Surinam frogfolk have special abilities related to their reproduction. Spray frogfolk give live birth to froglets, Brodding frogfolk give live birth to froglets through their mouths, larvaepartus Frogfolk give live birth to tadpoles, surinam frogfolk give live birth to froglets from their backs. These are called special abilities among the other frogfolk, because they don't do this, and most of them think it's weird.


besides this Spray Frogfolk, Brooding frogfolk, larvaepartus Frogfolk , Surinam frogfolk each have their own special ability.

The Spray Frogfolk have the ability to spray acid from their mouths

the Brooding frogfolk have the ability to hold rocks it's mouth and shoot them at high speeds.

Larvaepartus Frogfolk have fangs which they can use to bite.


Surinam frogfolk have the ability launch projectiles off it's back like missiles.

Coqui Frogfolk have a Sonic scream. Coqui frogfolk are naturally really loud, and are capable of being loud enough to being destructive. Able to shatter and repel things with just their voices alone.





As for technology advancements, it goes five levels with with 1 being the highest.

The Poison Frogfolk are level 1 in technology making them the most technologically advanced

Tree Frogfolk are level 2 in technology making them the second most technologically advanced behind the Poison Dart frogs.

The Artic Woodland Frogfolk are level 3 in technology making them the third most technologically advanced


Aquatic Frogfolk are Level 4 in technology


Horned Frogfolk are level 5 in technology making them the least technologically advanced

Let's say their world is called Swamparioria and it's broken up into seven regions. Tropical Swamp (Iofogar) , Desert Swamp (Awila) , Artic Woodland Swamp ( Aejumos), Aquatic (Vechumond), Mountain swamp (Oyixath), Grassland swamp ( Tocroria), and Subterranean swamp (Uqiros). The Treefrogfolk, Posionfrogfolk, and mushroom-tongued salamanderfolk live in the Tropical Swamp (Iofogar) region. The Tiger Salamanderfolk and Desert rain frogfolk, live in the Desert Swamp ( Awila) regions


The Salamandrellafolk and The Artic Woodland Frogfolk live in the Artic Woodland Swamp ( Aejumos) region. AxolotloFolk , and Aquatic Frogfolk live in the Aquatic (Vechumond) region. The Yellow Spotted Mountain Newtfolk and Stonefrogfolk live in the Mountain Swamp (Oyixath) region. Titan Frogfolk, The Horned Frogfolk, and The slender salamanderfolk live in the Grassland swamp ( Tocroria) region.

Let's say Amphibian inhabitants of this world have created a sort of magic system based on manipulating The Electromagnetic force, which is just a form of really highly advanced science. Let's call it The Faraday magic system, and this system is broken up into subbranches that include Alchemy. There are inhabitants of this world who study multiple subbranches and with the right subbranch, one can grant themselves immunity to lethal radiation.

Reproductive parts: all Amphibian inhabitants Reproductive parts are internal, expect for the male Larvaepartus Frog folk who have certain organs that function like reproductive organ of a male human, called a tail. which is a extension of their Cloaca.

Number 1 and number 2 come out of the same hole The cloaca. Female Amphibian inhabitants also their eggs out of this same hole.

All female Amphibian inhabitants have hair that has a slimy texture, while all male Amphibian inhabitants have no hair. male hairy frogfolk may look like they have hair, but that's actually just strands strands of skin.

All Amphibian inhabitant larvae start being able to speak once they reach a month old and can say full sentences once they reach 12 months old / year old. Once they turn three years old All Amphibian inhabitant larvae enter the kid stage. Expect for the offspring of Spray Frogfolk, Brooding frogfolk, and Surinam who skip the tadpole stage. With the exception of the Caecilianfolk. the Amphibian inhabitants of Swamparioria have variety of body types. Female Amphibian inhabitants of Swamparioria ( with the exception of female Caecilianfolk) have more muscle than their male counterparts on avenge. When it comes to prefer female body types each male the Amphibian inhabitant ( with the exception of the male Caecilianfolk) there are those who prefer their females average, those who prefer chubby, those who prefer athletic , those who prefer there females swole, and those who prefer their females to be strongfat.

However when it comes to who a Amphibian inhabitant of Swamparioria wants to be with there's more to it then just body types. Swamparioria has competitions including strength and body building competitions. For those Amphibianfolk who prefer to not use the term Faraday magic system. There's another term they can use called Faradayology

Religions: . All Swamparioria folk are Atheist, they do not believe in gods. However Horned Frogfolk and the Slender Salamanderfolk do believe in spirits and spiritual connections.

Any one can make a Amphibian race for this setting but the race has to be based on a frog species or another Amphibian speices that has not been used yet.

There's pretty much over 8,200 ( which includes over 6,000 species of frogs). However for those who like to make Amphibian folk you don't have to look at all the amphibian species that are the most common and well known ( which includes the most well know frog species).

Since all Amphibianfolk breathe through their skin, All clothing on Swamparioria is made of breathable and insulated material.
