I’m sure Rich’s space era has been fine but I’ve never gotten into him as a cosmic character. I prefer him on Earth.

On a more positive note, back when the New Warriors first started out, Rich wore this outfit…



…for just one issue (3), and I really liked it for some reason, and it really fit his demeanor at the time. I wish he’d kept it.

Well, he's back in the solar system, anyway. I'm hopping he sticks with the x-books for awhile (or at least with Ewing). That might keep him in earth-space more. He needs to visit his mom more often, at any rate. Of course, he also needs to track down his brother...

I admit, that's probably my least favourite outfit of Rich's.

Ewing saved him from the new Guardians of the Galaxy comic, so he's doing okay, so far.

Fiege needs to get him in the MCU pronto. Been going crazy waiting for my boy to show up.

I've always seen Rich as the product of alien technology, which ultimately gave him extraterrestrial history that had to be explored. But in terms of his power levels, I wish they would have kept his powers more in line with the reasonably limited "human rocket" flying brick realm and avoided the ultra-cosmic endowments that he currently has.... mixed metaphor as far his naming convention goes notwithstanding. But I get it: everyone gets a power creep these days. And maybe with the Human Torpedo being featured as part of the Rom/Dire Wraith storyline, it was neccessary to change Nova's powers somewhat to make him more distinct.

He was part of the Secret Avengers. Not sure if that counts.

He appeared briefly in Secret Avengers, but just wasn't handled properly, or given enough respect, considering all he did during Annihilation. At one point Captain America dons the Nova helmet, and immediately does better with the Worldmind and Nova powers than Rich. It actually really pissed me off.

I hardly think Al Ewing would do that to Rich considering how much love he has for the character, should know I've met him several times. Besides, he's on the cover for X-MEN RED 18 alighed with Apocalypse.
