Default Theory: Is Gwen Stacy really Amora The Enchantress?

It wouldn't surprise me at all. Amora is known for assuming human identities. Gwen Stacy is a indentity she created for herself to learn how humans tick. Whose to say that George Stacy didn't adopt Gwen as his own child. I like to think that Gwen's death was a deliberate act to mentally break Spider-Man/Peter Parker as she desired to move on. Thus being killed by Norman Osborn was part of Amora's manipulation tactic. Do you agree that Gwen is really Amora?

Isn't this impossible? Amora debuted 1964, and she couldn't have been attacking Thor while pretending to be Gwen. It would've only made sense if she debuted after Gwen's demise.

This would be a weird type of trick for a Mysterio to play on Spidey.

the main evidence against is the existence of Sarah Stacy. Sarah is not a demi-god.

So it was Amora all along?

Not really a Gwen Stacy fan, but I think that her just being a villain's alias would undermine the character even further.

X-23: "I know there are people who disapprove... Guys on the Internet mainly."

Then again, Misphisto doesn't make any sense in the Spidey methos either. Yet, the demon is part of Spider-Man's world. Amora is known for breaking men's hearts whenever she's in their lives. Gwen Stacy could be a identity she created for herself to explore the human realm. This would make for an interesting story. I like to see a Thor writer take a shot of writing Amazing Spider-Man and bringing over his previous work into Spidey's story. The key is experience with working with others characters and bringing them over to their next assignment.

Makes as much sense as Demogoblin or Morlun. Spider-man's been handling supernatural stuff since his first team-up with Dr. Strange in Annual 2.

And this proves, once again and without the shadow of a doubt, that good ol' Judas Traveller was done dirty!

The Enchantress? Come on, Gwen was obviously Yelena Belova, who as a teenager, did some "Red Room" training posing as an undergrad at ESU. The Russians already had some suspicions about Spider-man's identity and young "Gwen" was sent to gather intel by getting close with Peter and the supporting cast. Her apparent death at the hands of the Green Goblin ruined her cover, so she repatriated back to Russia for the next decade or so. Just as plausible, as your theory, LOL.

PS If Gwen was the Enchantress, why didn't any of her clones have her Asgardian abilities?
