Catlady in Training for that very #MeToo cover.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Scott Taylor for a cover that shows people having a grim view of the future is nothing new.

nx01a, but it's a hard choice, as we can see how public perception can change over relatively short time. No doubt many of these covers were questionable at the time of release as well, but publishers were confident they could get away with them because not many people would protest them at the time.
And now I'm thinking how some of our current covers might look in few decades.

ed, please don't put words in my mouth / quote.
I never said "Super spy Wonder Woman".

My post had just the cover, no additional words.

And while Diana may have dressed like Mrs. Peel, she really wasn't a "super spy" back then.

I apologize for any misunderstanding. I wasn't trying to put words in your mouth. I was making an attempt at joking about the irony that while DC/Denny O'Neal were trying to make Wonder Woman a more modern and liberated character, the most famous feminist at the time called them out for depowering the character.

I wasn't saying you were calling Diana a super spy, I just added the term because I thought a lot of people would get the Diana Rigg/Mrs Peel comparison/influence w/o repeating the cover art.
