Default Thrawn: Alliances to get comic adaptation

Fitting, since Ahsoka featured not only Thrawn but a lot of Anakin.

It's a great story to adapt so I'm all for it.

I was wondering if they'd ever adapt the other Thrawn novels. I wonder if they might complete the trilogy and do the prequel stories?

Think Thrawn: Treason at least should get one as far as the new ones.

As far as the rest, The original trilogy was adapted by Dark Horse in the 90s, Marvel still reprints the older comics. Thrawn trilogy is Epic Collection New Republic Vol.4

It's decent although it edits out important context/scenes from the books and the art choices are a bit weird (at least in the first adaptation), such as having the Noghri being as big as the Hulk when they're supposed to be small and stealthy. DFR is done by the Dodgsons but is kind of more restrained from their usual style.

However the potrayal of Mara Jade with black suit in the comics became her definitive look, the old novel covers and RPG sourcebooks made her look like an extra in WILLOW.

There was also a planned tie-in with the Hand of Thrawn books but that was shelved because I think Lucasfilm wanted them to start working on Prequel stuff.

    Great stuff!

I don't have the time to read Star Wars novels, so I've been hoping for years to get a comics adaptation of the next Thrawn novel.
