NPD people are master gaslighters. They can create distortions of reality on a whim to keep their own self-image central, and the worst part is that they don’t even think they’re lying - they are incredible good at deception because they actually believe what they’re saying.

I don’t know how to help the person with the disorder, but people around them need to educate themselves about what’s going on as you need to protect yourself first.
