    Default Jean’s Upcoming PHOENIX Arc

It started as the subtlest hint in X-Men #4 (2021), grew more obvious during Judgement Day in A.X.E.: X-Men #1 (2022) and A.X.E.: Eternals #1 (2022). Now, with the events of Jean Grey (2023), the upcoming Immortal X-Men (2023-2024) issues, and X-Men Forever (2024), it seems we’re heading into this arc full throttle.

Will Jean finally be given what was hers and hers alone? What is as intrinsic to her as Binary is to Carol, magic and godhood to Ororo, and chaos magic to Wanda? Have we reached a point where antiquated notions about female characters with great power will finally burn away? And will this era see the rise of, to quote Chris Claremont and Dave Cockrum, Marvel’s—and the X-Men’s—“first female cosmic hero”?

I have a feeling this 👇🏻 will ALL tie together.

In 2 weeks: “The most powerful telepath on Earth still doesn't know the extent of her own mind. Now the flame burns brighter than ever.” (Jean Grey #4) AND “Something is very wrong with Jean, or is it something very right?” (Immortal X-Men #17)

Jean Grey in the words of Walt Whitman, from his masterpiece Leaves of Grass, "Song of Myself" (51 and 52):

"Do I contradict myself? Very well then I contradict myself, (I am large, I contain multitudes.)"

"Failing to fetch me at first keep encouraged, Missing me one place search another, I stop somewhere waiting for you."

Soon: “The original X-Men are plucked from their era by an older Jean Grey/Phoenix. There are definite ramifications beyond the one-shot. The story will continue.” (The Original X-Men #1) AND “What do you do when the Phoenix is bleeding out into nothing?” (X-Men Forever)

This makes a ton of sense. I also think the promo art representing different eras and alternative universes is all Jean
