Agreed, along with The Sentinels of Magic

Unfortunatly they completely ignore this part of his history, with Lazarus Planet and the Vandal Savage stuff in Gotham War, there were 2 storylines were this could have come easily into play, and it was completely ignored each time.

I'm actually super excited about this one. been anticipating this since Martinbrough did his 2 issue lil mini arc in Red Hood & the Outlaws
THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki

also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.

    currently following:
    • DC: Red Hood: The Hill
    • Marvel: TBD
    • Manga (Shonen/Seinen): One Piece, My Hero, Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, Reincarnation of The Veteran Soldier, Oblivion Rouge, ORDEAL, The Breaker: Eternal Force

So, this is the same Shawn Martinbrough who pencilled Greg Rucka's run on Detective Comics right?

If so, he's one of my favourite Batman artists of all time. I'll check this out regardless, but now wishing he was on art as well.
"Has Sariel summoned you here, Azrael? Have you come to witness the miracle of your brethren arriving on Earth?"

"I WILL MIX THE ASHES OF YOUR BONES WITH SALT AND USE THEM TO ENSURE THE EARTH THE TEMPLARS TILLED NEVER BEARS FRUIT AGAIN!"

"*sigh* I hoped it was for the miracle."

Dan Watters' Azrael was incredible, a constant delight and perhaps too good for this world (but not the Forth). For the love of St. Dumas, DC, give us more!!!

Yep, I believe his previous stint on the Red Hood book was his first time writing for DC but he's written a few creator owned projects I believe.

I know, right?! A series with illustrations from him featuring Red Hood: Jason Todd would have been totally AWESOME (XD)

Definitely interested in this. I did enjoy the 2-issue story arc from back in the old Red Hood Outlaw series.

    RED HOOD: THE HILL #3
    Written by SHAWN MARTINBROUGH
    Art by TONY AKINS
    Cover by SANFORD GREENE
    Variant cover by DAN MORA
    $3.99 US | 32 pages | 3 of 6 | Variant $4.99 US (card stock)
    ON SALE 4/9/24

All hell comes to the Hill…literally! Jason Todd has gone up against his fair share of monsters and paranormal creatures in his time, but he’s never gone up against anything quite like the demonic creatures that have been unleashed in the streets of his new hometown. Literal monsters roam the city, metaphorical monsters pull the strings in the shadows, and they all have Red Hood in their sights!

An Interview with Writer Shawn Martinborough | DC Power 2024

I found it late into the interview.

His Red Hood is 6 issues and the DC Power book has a link to Red Hood book he is doing. The one with Question and Spectre.

I got a shoutout from Shawn.

DC Power implies Question and Spectre will be around the Hill.

Also it seems to have undone a death.

    spoilers:
Spectre's youngest son is implied to be alive and not killed by him
    end of spoilers

That was iirc undone by Rucka years ago in Final Crisis Reveleation.
