Which doesn't inspire dread out of people nor seems like a good choice for a saga villain.

Well, technically in one of his first appearances it was Rick Jones and the Wasp that foiled his attack on that time and freed the Avengers. It wasn't Thor, or Hulk, or Iron Man or even Capt America, but a Teen Ager and the Wasp...So yeah...Guess he is a wuss in the Comics too...

Thats kind of interesting because Rick Jones also played a big role in foiling Thanos in his first epic attempt to become master of the universe. There was a time when Rick Jones was everywhere.

I would love to see Kang Dynasty show up in theaters. I don't care much about Jonathan Majors's issues.

I think Marvel just wanted it to be clear they were stepping away from Majors. They might go back to it, but who knows what they've been planning since they knew this was a possibility. I imagine they've been formulating contingencies.

Alot of us here, not all certainly, have been pretty disappointed in the way Kang was introduced and how interesting he is as a villain. With the lackluster numbers especially for Ant-Man, I suspect Disney has been seeking a way to right the Kang ship. This is an excuse to go find another boat.
