Yeah, I wouldn't blame the Justice League for how Wonder Woman seems to get shafted constantly. That's really the fault of the people in control of her own book, who are always taking her out of any teams.

Surprisingly, when Denny O'Neil was the writer of the Justice League and the co-writer of Wonder Woman, he had her leave his Justice League (replacing her with Black Canary), after Diana gave up her powers (but was still just as good at martial arts as B.C.).

When Diana got back her powers, it took forever for her to return as a member. And Julius Schwartz was editing both books. She had to go through twelve trials--which took two years, given the frequency of her own title.

No sooner did she join Justice League International than she was out again.

This bad luck transferred to Queen Hippolyta, when she was retconned as the Wonder Woman of the Justice Society. After being featured as a regular member in their book, the people on the W.W. book had her iced.

The junior Wonder Women have maybe had a bit better luck. But given Donna Troy's identity issues, I'm not so sure.

Diana has been alive and available for use in the Justice League for most of the book's history. The few times she was dead or depowered can't excuse the other that she was little more than the most consistently appearing woman on the team while being alive and fully powered. The few times Diana wasn't available, Superman and/or Batman usually weren't either. Almost every JL writer gives stellar moments to Superman, Batman, any of the male Green Lanterns etc which Diana rarely gets in comparison.

The only standout Wonder Woman story in Justice League is League of One and that one arguably doesn't even need the League to be present.

Donna seems to get the same treatment. She's the 'OG' Titan that got sidelined for no reason at all and replaced as 'the chick' by Lilith, back in the day. At least she got to come back for All-New, with Wolfman & Perez, and even better, got to be the real 'tank-y' powerhouse of the team, without a Super-person to step on her moments. (Something Diana only really gets to do in team books like JLDark.)
