That is how Helena is currently being portrayed? Why?!! I don't get these race-bending decisions. Why not just introduce a new character with these features?! Helena as either Batman's daughter or daughter of an Italian mobster with classic Italian features didn't need updated. Or retire Helena and introduce a new character as Huntress. There has to be a better way to introduce diversity than race-bending characters that have been around for decades.

I remember folks saying why the huntress had to be race bend and why she has to be black now.
I remember these talks.
Some even said in the dceu thread why black canary was black and they could have cast a black actress in the dceu to play the huntress now that she is black in canon comics.

Forgot about Black Canary being black, but that BOP movie and its characters were so underwhelming -- with exception of Harley Quinn who was so annoying by being portrayed as some kind of amazing fighter -- which I guess is a thing now.

It helped for me that I didn't really see her as Post-Crisis Helena Bertinelli, which made it all the more awkward when they tried to make her more like Post-Crisis Huntress .
