And I’ve been a big fan ever since.
That was my intro to the Beatles. I got the red album as a Christmas gift, and paid 30 bucks somewhere for the blue album soon after.

For a little while, I thought those were the only Beatles songs.

Johnny Cash did release the Holy Land album in between Folsom Prison and San Quentin.

His prison albums remain my favorite country albums.

On some mentioned here. I would definitely say Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here for Pink Floyd. I would go with Let It Bleed and Sticky Fingers for the Stones, or Beggars Banquet and Let It Bleed. For the Beetles, pretty much any two albums starting with Rubber Soul. And Mets, after Sgt. Peppers there was Magical Mystery Tour.
    A few more:
    Yes:
Close to the Edge and Tales of Topographic Oceans or Fragile and Close to the Edge.

    Moody Blues:
Pick any two from Days of Future Past to Seventh Sojourn

    Paul Simon:
Paul Simon and There Goes Rhym'n Simon

The Eagles (Yeah I went there):
Hotel California and The Long Run

    The Who (pick two):
    Tommy, Who's Next, Quadraphonia

    Billy Joel:
    Turnstiles and The Stranger

    America:
    America and Homecoming

    Beach Boys:
    Pet Sounds and Smile*

    Completely forgot about R.E.M

Out of Time and Automatic for the People were back to back monsters.

I literally wrote that 4 album run and deleted it back to 2.

My introduction to them was their cartoon from the '60s. They started airing reruns of it where I lived for a time not that long after they broke up. The funny thing is I never knew they were a real group until years later. So listening to my friend's Red and Blue albums of the Beatles were really my introduction to my favorite group.

Elvis Presley and Elvis were the greatest back-to-back rock 'n' roll albums of the '50s, IMO. Sinatra's Where are You? and Come Fly With Me are my picks for best non-rock from that decade.

I'd go with Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main Street, FWIW.
