beat me to it. I was hoping/expecting these to be on page 1.

I'd pick David Bowie's "Station to Station" and "Low"

    Peter Gabriel's "Security" and "So".

Talking Heads "Remain in Light" and "Speaking in Tongues"

Macca has had several back-to-back album successes, whether with the Beatles, as a solo artist or as the front man for Wings. While everyone champions BAND ON THE RUN, I'd argue the follow-up alblum, VENUS AND MARS, is every bit as good, and in some ways an album I like just a little bit more. On top of that, those two albums were book-ended by RED ROSE SPEEDWAY and WINGS AT THE SPEED OF SOUND, that are very satisfying. Not to mention the live double album, WINGS OVER AMERICA. At that time, Wings was the most successful rock band--even if they did have trouble keeping members (other than Paul, Linda and Denny).

Prince actually released 4 albums between these two - Around The World In A Day, Parade, Sign o' The Times, and Lovesexy.

I don't think I could separate out any of the Big Four, as Keef calls them.

The funny thing is I like Aftermath more than those four great albums.

While I guess I get where most folks are coming from here?

There was a Richard Pryor record that came out in 1974 and one that came out in 1975.

The name of the seventy-four record ain't fit to type, but the seventy-five record is ... Is It Something I Said?

Crosby, Stills and Nash and Deja Vu. Hard to beat that kind of debut.
