I'd love to see other heroes get books with a similar theme as this

Lol. Nah, perfectly good explanation for it.
This is such a great read.
It's interesting, though not difficult - I enjoy Batman in most other versions/renditions (Elseworld?) by miles in comparison to the main book. While there have been good issues peppered here and there, pretty sure I've not actively enjoyed the main book since pre-King. Even the ancillary books - 'Tec, & Robin are quite meh more times than not. Urban Legends had a real good story early on but turned out things were not what they seemed.
The Batman & Dylan Dog mini-series also seems to be a good one. Only read issue 1 though.
This is the best thing Dan Jurgens has done in years.
I also love the budding Julie Madison romance.
Yeah, great second issue.
I wouldnt mind a sequel set during WW2. The period piece angle is pretty cool.

Was anyone else a little a little thrown off by the f-bombs here?
I know it's black label and bears the 17+ rating and moreover I know the greatest generation did swear...but it just felt out of left field to me. It felt like it was born more out of, "Hey, we're a 'mature' book so let's say 'f&@!'" more than an organic moment.
That said, I'm still really loving the stripped down feel to the story and I loved the period setting.
