Default Where is Fantastic Four vs Orchis??

The Orchis vs mutants is too big a deal for The FF not to be involved. Especially with Franklin.

    Thoughts??

Same logic as most of the X-Men stories that get too big.... why are the Avengers not here?

The Avengers are there though. They have their own book even.

There are multiple reasons why the FF are not involved.

    - The FF are currently pariahs because of an incident in New York that caused a whole city block to disappear, so they are purposefully staying out of the public eye.
    - Franklin is depowered and no longer even considered a mutant after Dan Slott's X-Men/FF crossover. (It was retconned that he used his reality altering powers to make it appear that he was a mutant. I'm still confused as to why the X-office went through with the retcon. Was it to separate the FF from all the stuff going on with the X-Men?)
    - Even if Franklin was still a mutant, it wouldn't be an issue, because he (along with Valeria) and a bunch of other people disappeared along with the city block. (It turns out they are all displaced in time and will reappear in the same place 1 year after the incident).

Indeed. As the recent X-Men 27 told us, "the mutants weren't the only ones who were 'going through it' at the moment. The Fantastic Four were reviled for the events in Manhattan that made the Baxter Building disappear along with their children." That's why they left to Ben's family farm where the X-Men had their brief encounter with them. I like that the offices kept things in current continuity.

Per the retcon, Franklin is an FF property first, so Slott was able to override them. Hickman wanted to use him, but Slott pulled the plug on that. Likely, Slott wanted to isolate Franklin from his people to continue his dumb emo arc.

That was a weird transition. Hey kids, here's a whole mini series about Charles and Erik trying to sway Franklin away from his family, wait just kidding he's not even a mutant so we don't care anymore. Professor X is still going to erase part of your mind though Reed, sorry, LOL.

My favprite part is how there is a clear connection between Franklin's powers and Krakoa. But no, we're just going to quietly ignore that.

Sorry, I got that confused with the one Timeless teaser, where Sinister stated that he wants to collect Frabklin's DNA.

There's no need for anyone else.

Jean has this as she will resurrect as Phoenix and obliterate Orchis.

Does the FF have a villain that's similar to Orchis?

I was thinking AIM, but I don't know if that's a Hickman thing or was it a historical animus.

It would be cool for the Future Foundation to put their smarts against Orchis'

I don't want an X-Men story solved by or involving the F4. Or Avengers.

If Sentinels are patrolling cities and anti mutant hysteria is at an all time high then it’s not just an X-Men story. The FF and Avengers should not so much solve the issue but should be assisting or picking a side.

Does that weird government sanctioned Squadron still exist? It would have been a good storyline if they were sent to capture mutants.
