Ronny Cox? He'd have to come back as a Force Ghost

Maybe Jonathan Banks's character had a twin brother...

Wait, that image on the first page is from the new movie??? I thought that must be from one of the older ones. How does he look the same after all this time?

I think Ronny Cox's character was only badly hurt in the second film, but could still be alive. It was Axel's Detroit boss Todd (Played by real life officer Gill Hill) was who killed in the third.

Cox is alive and so was his character he was even promoted at the end of the 2nd film. He wasn't seen or mentioned in the 3rd film. Now the Inspector Todd Foley's Detroit Boss was killed in the 3rd film.

Ohh, sorry. I misremembered and thought he died at the beginning of the second one.

Kind of interesting the different styles the first trilogy took. Second was definetly darker IMO (Cinematography reflected this as well), third was kind of weird with things kind of toned-down (Possibly trying for a PG-13?).

If they don't mention that Axel is 60 and has kids, I'm going to have problems with this movie...

Surprisingly, John Ashton is only 9 years older than Judge Reinhold.

I rewatched BH2 for thr first time in many years recently. It seemed to me that Ronnie Cox was supposed to be killed off in the beginning, but they must have changed their minds. I'm guessing his character will have passed away now.

I really hope this ends up being better than Coming 2 America. And Beverly Hills Cop 3. And Nutty Professor 2. Damn...Eddie doesn't have a great track record with sequels. At least BH2 was good, but not as funny as the first one.

Agreed, Coming 2 America was disappointing, but was Nutty Professor 2 reeeeeeaaaallly that bad? It had its moments.

I loved the originals, I hope this is up to their standard. When in 2024 is it supposed to hit?

I found Coming to America 2 to be a decent film. It was clearly and obviously a riff on the original largely with few surprises.
I've only watched it the one time but would revisit it and likely will just not soon though.

Lethal Weapon 5 is in active development so........
