Was Eisenberg's Lex more of a miscast or misinterpretation?

That twitchy guy Eisenberg played would have been a great cinematic Toyman and elevated that character. As a Lex Luthor, it felt like a step down.

If he wants to step over to Marvel, he'd be a great Arcade. He can even keep the same wardrobe and haircut.

I kind of feel like they hired him to do his Zuck impersonation, because Lex is also a sociopathic CEO, but Eisenberg went away and watched Jim Carey and Tommy Lee Jones in Batman Forever a dozen times as prep.
