On a superficial note, Ralph Macchio won’t age for ****.
But this movie has my attention now putting Jackie’s character with Daniel-san. Just hope they don’t completely ignore all the development that ‘Cobra Kai’ made.
How are they going to get Macchio in a believable fight with Chan? Lots of stunt doubles for Macchio, I suspect, and careful handling by Chan in those few scenes where Macchio's face is visible during that fight. And you know they're going to have to do that, even if only in a friendly sparring match.
Is the magic shrine from the cartoon going to show up?
Is Jaden Smith going to be in this?
LOL...
I thought the writers' strike was over...
I've still never watched the Chan installment cause it just wasn't for me.
Guess I'll try it now but I'm curious how they merge the two. It isn't like this is a sci-fi/fantasy franchise where you can backdoor a merging.
"Freedom is the right of all sentient beings" - Optimus Prime
Well the Chan version was never meant to be some alternate reality where Mr. Miyagi and Daniel still exist but were named Mr. Han and Dre instead. It was merely a similar story in another part of the world.
So the "merging" would only have to be a story that explains how the two (Daniel and Mr. Han) come into each other's orbit. Judging by the link, this is germ of an idea since they're looking for a child actor to play the character one/both of them trains.
When are we going to see someone who's so practiced swiping on dating apps that they realize they can kill someone with their finger? I'm still waiting for that martial arts movie...
No Johnny?
