The poor sales is one thing. And like among general comic related servers/spaces, no one seems to like him. It's only really like twitter/a03/tumblr/tiktok but like I said most of these 'fans' don't read or buy comics and it really shows and they've admitted as such especially on tiktok/tumblr.

    This sums up why. https://twitter.com/ROBlN93/status/1708497840404607446
The marketing very clearly worked. You have admitted many many times how much social media loves the pairing and all the fan art.

That is the marketing working. When a person takes the time to draw fan art/write a fic that dedication.

Do you know how long it takes to do that?

You have tunnel vision. So they don't buy comics. And?
That's the audience that DC and it's parent company wants to attract. The gen public are the target, not comic readers.

Jaytim isn't reflective of their comic fans. It's reflective of some of their fans and casuals.
They might not read comics but they sure watched Death on the Family movie [which had Jason and Tim briefly]

Are you under the impression that comics are the only way DC/WB Discovery can earn money? Are you aware that of the multitude of subs and businesses that WB Dis has hands on that comics are the most niche and the lowest earning by a very long margin?

Or are you just ignoring the whole picture and focusing on the sales of TDR as a way to denigrate a ship/direction you don't like?

Tim in general doesn't have a lot going on outside of comics. Let alone Bernard. So while big picture beyond floppies is a valid point, Tim is at a dead end in that regard.

Here's the thing, most of these people are just niche shippers/fanon crwond who don't even know a thing about Tim that much and won't invest much in the actual material at all if ever and won't earrn money (same with Jaytim). Social media loves Olicity from Arrow and still post about it and it trends more than Green Arrow and Black Canary but where is Felicity Smoak now? The point of marketing is also to get returns but if the demograph you are marketing towards won't actually invest money in you then why bother? Do you think Miles is just carried by fan art?

And if the general public knowledge was good enough the Inhumans would still be a big thing and more pushed.

It's true in terms of their fanbases.

Ok but where is WB going to make money with that out side of Comics.
    • They are not going to make Tim Drake movie.
    • TV Series seem unlikely now that they got rid of the CW, and I don't think that having the Tim/Bernard ship on titans brought in many viewers.
    • And I also don't think that it will do much to sell games.

Which begs the question, why is Tim still around let alone Bernard.

Because the 90's did some things well .

(Not Bernard though. Bernard wishes he had romance arcs as good as the Batfamily in the 90's).

Tim is around as he has fans but as for Bernard....no idea. His so called "fans" don't seem to support him where it counts

What does that mean he has fans? The same criteria being used against Bernard applies to Tim. They're not supporting him where it counts, and where is WB going to make money with him out side of comics.

Yet his Robin series bombed, and the majority of projects with him in the last decade have been sales disappointments. They made him a regular in Batman to help establish his return to Robin, but it turned out to be a failure on multiple fronts. He’s not there because of demand or because he generates anything these days.
