I like Robert Eggers, but if he’s doing a prequel of this it should be called John Nosferatu or something so you know you’re going to find out how the iconic hero got his long overcoat etc.

Very excited for this. Love both Murnau and Herzog's versions and have read Dracula like a dozen times. Between Guillermo doing Frankenstein and Eggers doing this I'm a happy monster fan.
I couldn't be more interested in this, Eggers works in the genres and subgenres I love the most, much like Guillermo del Toro.

Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft
Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

he's already worked on a stage version of the story - so, as usual, this is a passion project for him. looking forward to it.
