RoTPoX does seems to imply reset, but IMHO it would be Marvel's mistake to turn several years of stories into alternate reality. Hopwefully it is just a tease.

That was done long ago.

We have known since the first issue of All-New X-Men that they were from an alternate or altered timeline, that was well established with multiple continuity points.

We later learned that the 'Time-displaced 05' and the current 'adult-versions' were the same people.

So making several years of stories an alternate reality was done well before the Krakoa era even officially started, it's what made Krakoa possible in the first place...

Rise of the House of X is by Gillen and set… 100 years into the future? I think it was 100 years. Or it starts there at least.

I think Rise will eventually move out to the far future but #1 starts in the near future. I went back and reread recent X-Men issues leading to the Brood arc, and the arc in Captain Marvel. I completely forgot Forge and Monet were in Knowhere… and the whole thing ends with Jean telling Broo she hopes the Brood can find a way to redeem themselves… meanwhile Forge implies they can board Knowhere if things get bad for them. And Polaris was actually in that Brood war, leading team B. I wonder if that’s why she went to Knowhere. To throw a bunch of Brood on Orchis.

I said this over in the Polaris thread, and the more I think about it, the more I think this might be the case... because they could be the new threat to rise, attacking Earth.

The Moira and bench cover has upped my excitement even more. Will things be reset due to her death? Who is trying to reset things? Lots of questions.

I hope they don't kill her outright in the past -- that would screw up the New Mutants origin pretty bad. Especially in Wolfsbane's case.

I've been wondering if Moira X isn't a parasite that jumps timelines when the host dies. Maybe it doesn't take over its host's life completely at first, just at certain times. That would mean getting rid of Moira X would result in the return of the old Moira.

Of course, there's probably some scene I've forgotten about that rules out that theory.
