X-Men Red #18 - Review/Spoilers

The takeaway is that the Island Kaorak and Arakko have become Okkarra. Hence the conversation Apocalypse and Storm have at the End of the Issue.

I'm not sure it fits with continuity about Okkarra actually being that Threshold leader.

Did I imagine a relatively recent (like from thiss year) interview of Al Ewing in which he said he was going to get into Roberto's head?
I can't find it anywhere anymore, and I'm beginning to wonder if I didn't dream it. The power of wishful thinking...

Same. Feels like they could’ve easily spun out into their own book. But, had Ewing kept them in Red, I know I would’ve enjoyed the title far more.

Yes, I understand that it is X-Men Red and Ewin wanted to explore the Arakki, but we ended up with a bunch of characters that the reality is we'll never see again. I would've prefer if that focus went into the characters in that team plus the Arakki we already had (I am a fan of both Kobak and Khora, and feel that even them got shortchanged at the end).

The title comes to a close without Thunderbird turning up.

Not the end of the world, but it would have been nice to see him again.

I was hoping we would see him again too. Hopefully another writer pick him (and the rest) up.

This has been one of the best X-books ever.

This right here. If SWORD and RED aren't collected in a hardcover it will be a travesty.

No doubt. It was really, really good.

This was kinda boring to me, it wasn't bad, just wasn't an epic ending. I was expecting more of a big explosion, bigger battle, more bang for my buck. To me kind of whimpped out.

As much as I like this title, I feel the same way about this issue. Wasn't bad at all. Just not the exciting end fight I was hoping for. All in all, Ewing is awesome as was this run of SWORD and Red
