I love what Foxe had to say about the book and the characters. I'm very intrigued by what this team's mission is and how it ties to the Rise of the Powers of X. I also loved the brief mention of Betsy and what she's wearing

I wonder if Rachel will have a role somewhat similar to her original one in Days of Future Past (or to a lesser extent, The Adventures of Cyclops & Phoenix) - we know Rise is set in the future so I wonder if it's future Askani, and not her present-day counterpart, to act as a guide for the team across the timestream? Tasked by Xavier to do something in the past to prevent something from happening in the future?

Why the F Shiro will be in a team With Traitorette Brand the Traitor

The premise of the book is time traveling as Rachel will be sending the X-Men team to different points in time/space, so that's likely an alternate reality team we see there.

The religious-coded imagery with the Phoenix characters lately.

Rachel as a Burning Bush similar to how God appeared to Moses. In Immortal (especially the prologue) Jean is liked to God's role and Hope to that of an Archangel.

It would be cool if each were given their own specific role/identity within the Phoenix. Mother, Daughter, and Grand-daughter. The Phoenix trinity.

This looks great, but I thought it was odd for Foxe to say that there’s no natural leader amongst this team when Sam is a pretty well-established leader. Definitely more so than Frenzy.

I think the girl with the bon might actually be Risque. Like Random and Blink, she was part of the SWORD team.

I guess Foxe saying he's not breaking them out is pushing the pairing. LOL. It is what it is.

I'm excited to find out how Xavier contacts Rachel to recruit the team. Maybe she's been in another reality but will soon return, allowing him to sense her.

The art is GORGEOUS. Miles better than Astonishing Iceman, which was already good.
Actually... are there two artists on the title ? The first two pages look nothing alike. The first page seems to be drawn by the Dark X-men artist.
That "Sword" team looks fun ! Always happy to see Blink and Random.


It's very funny because ALL those characters could and DID actually lead their teams, aside from maybe Prodigy (and that's arguable).
