Somehow both those would look better (and more ouchy) if Jack Kirby pencilled them and Mike Royer inked them. Strong black lines make the image jump out more. These are too gentle.
My favorite example: Superman getting clocked by Mjolnir from JLA/Avengers #1
P.S.: Before that landmark issue, I had no idea what a caitiff was! Props to Kurt Busiek for broadening my vocabulary!
