According to Israel both US and UK used jets to intercept and destroy drones, etc or the damage would have been far worse. So it looks probable both countries are already directly involved, though…of course…putting ground troops in would be a further escalation.

Biden told Bibi U.S. won't support an Israeli counterattack on Iran

What few services they have tend to be provided BY Hamas, th destruction of their friends and families are carried out by Israel. Hamas also has control over what information they receive. Getting them to blame Hamas is an uphill battle, which isn't helped by the IDF actively playing into the narrative.

Something else needs to be done, and whatever that answer is, it's going to be slow going, and with a lot of setbacks along the way. But it's pretty clear that the current solution isn't working.

At some point, there will have to be an effort at reeducation to expose them to the information that's been kept from them. That will be the way to prevent the radicalization of a new generation.

Not to defend what happened, but comparing those protesting what's happening in Gaza to the Jan 6 is far from fair.

Gaza is a legitimate issue, where hundreds are dying needlessly.

Jan 6 is just some douchebag being a douche.

If we're comparing the two, the mass rape and murder Hamas committed is much worse than January 6.
