WASHINGTON (AP) — A new Biden administration rule that sets tougher standards for deadly soot pollution faced a barrage of legal challenges Wednesday, as 25 Republican-led states and a host of business groups filed lawsuits seeking to block the rule in court.

Twenty-four states, led by attorneys general from Kentucky and West Virginia, filed a joint challenge stating that new Environmental Protection Agency rule would raise costs for manufacturers, utilities and families and could block new manufacturing plants and infrastructure such as roads and bridges. Texas filed a separate suit, as did business groups led by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and National Association of Manufacturers.

“The EPA’s new rule has more to do with advancing President (Joe) Biden’s radical green agenda than protecting Kentuckians’ health or the environment, said Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman, who is leading the joint lawsuit along with West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey.

They couldn't do Captain Planet today, because Looten Plunder is too subtle.

So the Secretary of Education is tonight's designated survivor. Here's to hoping the Cylons don't show up unannounced.

If Harris is going to give a standing ovation everything Joe says something, she should just stay standing up...

MTG can't keep her mouth shut, as usual. Also wearing a hat in the chamber, which is against the rules.

    Man...

That just sounded like more "Drug War..." nonsense.

Are we really just going to skip past that it's coming over the border because America is a massive consumer of black market drugs?

I can accept that. I should have phrased it that the percent of civilian deaths vs combatants has gone up (anecdotal examples aside). We also possess weapons which can more accurately find their intended target, though.......

Someone just got escorted out for yelling something. I couldn't make out what they were saying. Sadly it was a visitor, not MTG.

And yeah, is there a taser in Harris's seat? Every two seconds she's jumping up and clapping.

Fair point if we're talking about fentanyl and what not...considering the meth and prescription opiates don't come over the southern border. But still, it was good for Biden to make the point he did..."We gave you most of what you asked for and you voted against it."
