Lol..DeSantis fought the woke and the woke won.

His campaign was ridiculous from announcing his bid on Twitter to ignoring non-right wing media. DeSantis fighting Disney (one of the largest and most influential companies in his own state) looked extremely silly and very petty.

He should consider trying again in 2027 but I can't see him going anywhere with his weird robotic demeanour and fixation on hurting minorities.

On this date in 2022, “Fanatical Republican Extremist of the Day” profiled Matt Gurtler, who served two terms in the Georgia House of Representatives for District 8 of that body from 2017-2021 before making an ill-advised run for U.S. House of Representatives in Georgia’s 9th Congressional District in 2020. We can note easily that Gurtler is a supporter of Personhood when it comes to abortion, says that Roe V. Wade is unconstitutional due to the 10th Amendment (go to civics class, Matt) and backed that up when he voted for Fetal Heartbeat Anti-Choice legislation. But we’re troubled to see that Gurtler voted against legislation regarding penalties to be set for hate crimes, which is about to make sense given the next bit…Our bigger concern about Matt Gurtler wasn’t his voting record, rather, it was how he turned up at an event to be photographed at a American Patriots USA event with long-documented white nationalist Chester Doles, who founded that group because he needed to rebrand after his two prior hate groups, the National Alliance and Hammerskins already got pegged for being exactly what they were. Doles is also proud of his heritage in relation to the Ku Klux Klan, and not shy about it. Even if that isn’t a red flag, American Patriots USA frequently shares content with 9/11 Truther conspiracy theories that probably should have made any politician hesitant to appear at any of their events, let alone that they’re started by a hatemonger. When the Atlanta Journal Constitution tried interviewing Gurtler about the company he was keeping, he refused, only offering the meek explanation that, “I was asked by a voter to speak to a pro-gun, conservative group that supports President Trump. There was a group picture with all the candidates and speakers.” In spite of having ties to a hate group, Republican voters were not too dismayed about voting for Matt Gurtler, still giving him about 44% of the vote. Which is a testament to how far the voting bloc of the GOP has fallen, in terms of holding people accountable. The only regretful thing is that meant Andrew Clyde, noted hypocritical member of the House Sedition Caucus, won the primary and went on to be in Washington on Jan. 6th.

On this date in 2023, “Fanatical Republican Extremist of the Day”, had its first profile of John McGuire, a member of the Virginia State Assembly from District 56 who was first elected to office back in 2017, and was somehow still elected to a third term in office even though he was one of several elected Republicans who were present at the U.S. Capitol for Donald Trump’s domestic terror attack upon the legislative branch of our government on January 6th, 2021. McGuire, of course, claimed he hadn’t heard about any violence happening that day until after he arrived back at home afterwards, but it’s hard to deny he could have missed it, considering he took selfies of himself at the Capitol with Trump’s goon squad (pictured above). He has twice failed to be elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in Virginia’s 7th Congressional District, as well, falling short in primaries in his effort to replace Democratic Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger.

McGuire doesn’t seem to have many regrets about having taken part in Donald Trump’s coup attempt, either, given he hosts public screenings of Dinesh D’Souza’s “2000 Mules” to continue to share conspiracy theories about supposed “election fraud” that took place in 2020, and helped fuel the rage against the incoming Biden administration for being “illegitimate”.

While being a sedition-lover is more than enough for us to justify giving the guy a profile on this blog, we’ll also note he was a vocal opponent of the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment in Virginia, voted to prohibit mask mandates in schools to help prevent the spread of Covid-19, voted against the repeal of the death penalty, against the repeal of the “gay panic” murder defense (the one that lets someone use homophobia as a license to kill), voted against minimum wage increase, wants all voting materials to only be available in English, and voted against background checks being required on firearms transfers (so a convict that wants a gun can’t just ask a friend to buy them one and then give it to them as a favor).

There just isn’t an issue this guy is on the right side of.

John McGuire ran for District 10 of the Virginia State Senate in 2023, and won after being virtually unopposed.
This seditious clown is going to challenge equally terrible GOP Congressman Bob Good for his seat in North Carolina's 5th Congressional District in 2024, to boot.

Germany is, in fact, the second-largest community for [QAnon] online. So in terms of the amount of people subscribing to QAnon channels on Telegram and other social media channels Germany is quite prolific in that respect, which is surprising to many people. It combines this idea that the state isn't legitimate with a pre-existing conspiracy theory that you see with QAnon. This kind of idea that there's a worldwide pedophile ring that uses American military bases as its local infrastructure applies to Germany in their minds because of the pre-existing structures that are still there from the occupation period. And so many people followed Trump and Trumpism in particular, and so believed that Trump would finally come and liberate Germany from foreign occupation. And he was the savior figure in many ways, as he is with the union movement in the United States.
It makes sense for Germany to have the second-largest QAnon community online.

What other country would you expect?

It has the highest population in Europe outside of Russia, and Russia has a much lower median income as well as a much smaller percentage of the population able to speak English, which limits their ability to able to go online to learn conspiracy theories or to be exposed to it from crazy neighbors.
    Sincerely,

He should be forced to carry it to term.

Don’t know why Wretched Ron endorsed Trump, I mean, it’s not like that bit as asskissing would put him in Caramel Caligula’s good graces, not after all the bickering those two had been in. And Trump doesn’t forgive or forget slights against him.

Maybe Ron really DOES care about taking women's rights away and causing harm to minorities? That would make a Trump endorsement worth his while.

Lose the robot demeanor and he'd do fine in today's GOP

Republicans seem to bow to power reflexively. Ted Cruz, anyone?

It's not disappointing, he was a terrible candidate to begin with. What is disappointing is that the Republican party can't come behind an actual rational leader and continues to embrace former President Trump's madness.

Point taken. Any other man would’ve given Trump the middle finger, if not punched his lights out after publicly insulting his wife. Cruz however, made like Oliver Twist, warbling “Please, sir! I want some more!” and kissed Trump’s orange ass.

Of course he did. Apparently he finally learned how to read...the writing on the wall. It would've been done even earlier but I'm sure he probably banned books on teaching people to read.

DeSantis is part of what makes politics such a cesspool of feces rising to the top of the pool...a politician.

None of the republicans are statesmen or leaders.

I think Ron pretty much checked out a couple of months ago. He's at these events for his campaign and he's looking like he doesn't even want to be there or talk to anyone. He's watching the clock just waiting to go home.
