Trump’s team is slashing Republican National Committee staff amid takeover, AP sources say

WASHINGTON (AP) — Just days after installing his new leadership team at the Republican National Committee, Donald Trump’s lieutenants are cutting dozens of staff across key departments in an aggressive move that further cements the former president’s takeover of the GOP’s political and fundraising machinery.

More than 60 people were fired in all, including senior staff in the political, data and communications departments inside the committee’s Washington headquarters. The cuts also included staff that ran the committee’s celebrated community centers, which were focused on building relationships with minority groups in some Democratic-leaning states.

The sweeping overhaul was confirmed by multiple people with direct knowledge of the cuts who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the moves publicly.
I guess highly qualified Lara Trump can do the job of 60 people.

Well, she won't need the extra staff to find any fraud, I bet.

“They were the boxes that were in the indictment, the white bankers boxes. That’s what I remember loading,” Brian Butler, formerly only known as 'Trump Employee 5,' says of how he unknowingly helped Walt Nauta load boxes of classified information to Trump's plane.
With Judge Cannon slow walking the trial, this will only matter if Trump loses and cannot pardon himself.

Tomtom is a tool for comparing a DNA motif to a database of known motifs.
The Tomtom web application compares an input DNA motif to the elements of a database of known motifs (and their DNA reverse complements).

So, probably used as a racist slur.

Hold the phone. The QNC had a department dedicated to outreach of minority groups? Really? Since when? Clearly that committee didn't succeed all that much as the party is every bit as lily white as it's ever been.

I'm sure, as the article states, that it has nothing to do with saving money for Trump's legal fees.

‘License to kill’: Anti-abortion groups rage against the GOP

The anti-abortion movement is turning on Republican lawmakers who support bills to protect in vitro fertilization, accusing them of sanctioning murder.

As many politicians raced in recent weeks to get to the right side of public opinion on IVF, some of the country’s biggest and most influential anti-abortion groups are pushing back.
Several have attacked state and federal lawmakers — who introduced legislation to protect IVF after the Alabama Supreme Court ruled last month that frozen embryos are children — for giving doctors a “license to kill” and said legislators’ efforts would result in “thousands of dead human beings.”

Other groups are going further, running ads against longstanding GOP allies that use the same graphic imagery — blood, babies and scalpels — they have long deployed to oppose Democrats and the abortion-rights movement.

The tension over IVF underscores a deepening divide as Republicans grapple with new political and policy consequences of passing laws declaring that life begins at conception. After marching in lockstep for decades against Roe v. Wade, conservatives are clashing in the post-Roe era over what it means to be “pro-life.”
In Mississippi, the anti-abortion movement and its GOP allies have called a Republican-backed proposal to protect IVF the “greatest assault on the cause of life that we’ve seen in Mississippi in a long time” and warned that the “bad Democrat-based bill” would lead to “backdoor abortion and possible cloning and selling of ‘genetic materials of humans.’”
HAH "Backdoor abortions and cloning". These right wing freaks are insane. This is a losing issue for the GOP which is why they had to scramble after the Alabama court ruling. But, the nutjobs are attacking them again because of the course correction. Even though IVF is expensive and actually a issue for people with the means to go through with the expensive procedures. It is easy to understand for the public, and shows complete hypocrisy in messaging. On one had they whine about "protecting life", but then they want to interfere with IVF that is designed to give families with fertility problems a chance at the families they want.

Its simply not a winning proposition and navigating the minefield these extremists are causing will be lovely for the GOP.

Not very clear: how helping couples to have children is “sanctioning murder”?…

Probably because all the created embryos won’t be implanted in the uterus…

Yes and they have to try multiple times a lot of times they don't always take. So there is a "failure rate" they liken to "murder". Which is also part of why it is so expensive the treatments and multiple attempts. Crazy but it is what it is.
