Some thoughts...
I like the idea of Web of Spider-Man as some kind of Timeless style teaser of things that will be important in Spider-Man comics for the next year.
With Wells writing a story for Web of Spider-Man and the Free Comic Book Day special, it does suggest he may be sticking around for a while. Looking at other writers for those one-shots, Cody Ziglar is currently on Miles Morales, Greg Weisman is launching the Spider-Men monthly, Steve Foxe introduced Web-Weaver, Alex Segura wrote the Arana novel and Deniz Camp seems to be on the Ultimates.
I'm very happy to see new work from Peter David.
I'm not familiar with Amazing Spider-Man artist Carmen Carnero. Since the new #1, most of the artists have been around for a while (John Romita Jr, Ed McGuinness) so this is a bit of a departure. I googled her, and she did some fill-in stories on Superior Foes, as well as stints on Captain Marvel, Miles Morales and Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty. I don't mind a newer artist on the title. I just wonder if it means anything beyond editors liking her.
What dangling plot thread will return in Amazing Spider-Man? Is it Ben Reilly? Ned Leeds blamed for the Hobgoblin's deeds? Something else?

I don't think so. He's only providing the set up for Return of the Goblin (ASM #50-54) and whatever arc comes next (ASM #55-60) both of which would be 2024 story arcs.
