Come to think of it New 52 had a bunch of these
Prez
Dial H for Hero
I, Vampire
Gotham by Midnight
Shade
Penguin
Omega Men
Batman Incorporated
Superman Unchained
Legend of Wonder Woman
G.I. Zombie
etc...
Three books come to mind for mine.
Chase (criminally underrated book)
Chronos I live in hope of Walker Gabriel reappearing some time soon
Aztek A little Morrison/Millar character who had a short solo series after being a member of the JLA.
"My name is Wally West. I'm the fastest man alive!"
I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.

Definitely Aztek. I loved this one back in the day
Just a wee bit of a tangent coming up.
When I first started reading comics again about 15 years ago one thing I did was to look for DC series featuring B/C/D characters that got to 20 issues or more.
My belief was that any series featuring non A characters that survived that long was probably going to be very good. (It turned out right in large majority of cases.)
As we’ve seen in this thread it’s hard to get past a dozen issues unless lead star is “cat A”.

I enjoyed Primal Force. It was sort of a precursor to Shadowpact and JL Dark.

I’m reading this question as ongoing series that didn’t last more than 20 issues, but I have seen several limited series, so I’m just going to say that apart from the controversial Heroes in Crisis which I loved (come at me), we’re talking about limited series’ Tom King every time. Best writer at DC by far and his limited series are extraordinary.
