Default Timeless - previewing the future

    Preview for Timeless 2023
    https://aiptcomics.com/2023/12/22/ma...-timeless-1-3/

I wonder, how much from the previous three end of year previews (Incoming 2019, Timeless 2021 and 2022) was accurate, and what changed?

I think it is done to pick curiosity.

And to advertise upcoming books. Last year's was primarily an ad for the Avengers relaunch.

Maybe the new home for mutants will be inside Doop!? Because of it there will be a marriage between Emma Frost and Doop!? And everybody will use the Doop fonts!?

I didn’t find them helpful or accurate. I reread them recently and didn’t think what was written were as good as the FCBD previews, but then the writers of Timeless May only have vague premises to work with.

Yeah... one particular glaring error comes to mind. They might have known that MJ and Black Cat would team up as superheroes - but wrongly assumed MJ would somehow copy Peter's powers, when instead she gained different superpowers as Jackpot.

I read this year's issue last night. The best I can say is that it's the best thing these writers have written (that I've read)... but it's pretty middle of the road stuff. I'm not sure we'll ever see this version of Luke Cage again... no big loss.

I mean it's similar to the one page teasers of the past blown out into a full issue.

They're cool in giving glimpses; albeit not always accurate glimpses, of things to come.

I wonder if Majors didn't have his issues that they would have have been yearly Kang stories

They're nice on free comic book day, but otherwise, not really.

The first one with Kang in (2021, I think?) was one of the best solo Kang stories out there.

I think they work a lot better than just a bunch of 4-5 page teasers because it’s framed within a one-shot. I guess it just depends on the quality of the one-shot.
