The thing with the Arakkii is that, for the most part, their overall story has been off to the side of the main storyline so it can be very easily avoided if it's not one's cup of tea.

I liked X-men Red for the most part, but I agree that the Arrakkii didn’t come out looking very complex or interesting, aside from a few exceptions.
I’d still want a cosmic X-book led by Storm, but I’d be totally fine with a little break from Arrako as long as they keep it around for future exploration.
