I see we will get some Dora action. I hope we see the Hatut Zeraze in the Ultimate BP. With them being the secret police and not just international spies. I want to see more of the warrior nation besides the Dora. So many of BP male supporting cast have been removed in recent years. Hopefully that changes in this series.

It's growing on my but I'm not fully sure, o think it's a situation where it looks as good as it does because the artist, but of a lesser artist attempted to draw it thrulley may make it look absolutely horrendous

Yeah, it's Crazy that the issue literally just dropped yesterday and I already feel the void of having to wait an entire month to get then next issue lol.

As for the preview, I wouldn't mind T'Challa Clashing with Storm and Erik, there doesn't need to be a winner or loser, but just a two on one in which both sides hold their own against each other to showcase them as powerful rivals

Black Panther is still a potential giant IP. There is a reason the movie did so well.


Unfortunately, the franchise got handicapped when it got stolen by non comic "intellectuals" who didn't even like the character and CHadwick dying.


Maybe Hill can course correct.


Nobody has a favorite comic character who is an ineffectual mopey loser. Peopel can scream "toxic masculinity" or whatever all they want... it's comics... people want their favorite character to has some damn bass in voice

Dude check out the Travente Rhodes fancast drawing on Reddit, it's very similar lol. But yeah the spike in that area is questionable, unless he don't what no royal heirs lol

In the preview he's doubled over on the ground after being hit by Storm's lightning...that belt spike isn't piercing any vitals. The wonder and excellence of a vibranium weave. It's an Ultimate universe, personally I'm okies with this T'Challa not being super mega intelligent. Yes he's the character we know and love but he's not really the character we know and love so there could be some difference.

Coates has pelts on the wall with run though. So talking about it like its Ridley doesnt add up from an overall perspective.

I'm not talking about it like it's Ridley. Both he AND Coates provided the worst runs of BP ever. No one is going to tell you you can't enjoy Coates, but trying to defend Coates as hard as you do here isn't going to make his run good all of a sudden, if Hill keeps this up it's just going to reinforce this sentiment

The hoove like accents on the feet and the exposed mouth keep me from being completely onboard. I’d honestly be ok with the exposed mouth if it was done similar to Terry’s Batman suit. The way the shadows looked over T’Challa’s mouth in the final page and how it looked part of the mask made me wish that it was done like that instead

If the Killmonger part is anything to go by from #1, they’ll be more reluctant allies with T’Challa. He’d have what they need, resources and an army, and they’d have useful intel for T’Challa. Their primary beef will likely be over T’Challa not doing anything until now and Shuri will likely be on their side ideologically.
