I mean, they have to ignore that Peter was Mark Zuckerberg level of famous, even if it was just for five minutes. He would be recognized far more than he is.

Peter even did a book tour promoting his photos as Spider-Man honestly I need a issue of someone figuring out his identity cause of the constant saving of MJ and spiderman always showing up in Peter area.

MJ was never that big an actress, so we wouldn't be able to name an actress equivalent unless we're cinephiles and know a bunch of obscure actresses.

She's been a model of varying levels of fame, a main character in a soap opera, been the lead female character in at least two Hollywood movies, and has had a well-reviewed role in a play.

(I think Straczynski was right to make her a theatre actor: it allows for her to be reasonably successful while keeping her fame levels variable.)
