    I read it. Felt very Neil Gaiman to me. Normally, one doesn't see Cap interact with the mystical side of things in the MU. But here he was. And it was pretty poetic too, wasn't it? I enjoyed it, but there's something about JMS' writing. Said it before, but it felt verbose.

    That's what it reminded me of. Sort of like Neverwhere. Like he was still in the world but adjacent to it as well.
    All I wanted was to be unconditionally loved while never having to work on my flaws. Is that so much to ask?

    Why did 1981 novelty item Santa's World: The Origin of Captain America rename the guy who created the super soldier serum? It calls him Professor Reinstein instead of Dr Erskine.

    Didn't later comics explain that "Reinstein" was an alias used to conceal Abraham Erskine's identity when he was smuggled out from Nazi Germany by the Allies to help create the Super-Soldier Serum for Project Rebirth?

    That's what I thought, too. I still remember this exchange from Captain America #255
