Anyone read the new issue, and the conclusion with the fight with the emissionary in both the past and present. Showing how much a hero Steve was even before the serum and the revelation that without the serum, Steve was expected to not survive the next 5 years due to his fatigue physical which is sad but glad it ended with Abraham Erskine coming in the end. The present Steve gave his new neighbor a job only for him to refuse saying he and his family are moving the Seattle only for Steve to find out he was scared off with a new today Nazi movement with his building getting graffitied with swastikas.

Yeah, that was a bittersweet conclusion to the present-day portion of the story, though it would go to show that the fight against the kind of hate embodied by the Nazis was ultimately a never-ending one. On the more positive end, it did also show that there would always be people ready and willing and able to fight against that hate.

If there are comparisons that can be made with this new ally of Cap's to Ezekiel as presented and then eventually revealed in JMS's ASM, I hope this turns out better for Cap than Ezekiel did for Spidey/Peter.

That's a pretty cool idea there. Captain America vs. the Mandarin --- given the Mandarin was basically on par with a super-soldier, at least in terms of his physical and combat prowess, well before finding the Makluan Rings --- should be an interesting fight.

Anyone read today Cap issue, I must admit, its very unique to what we are used to. Very much like how JMS took Spidey to the mystical, he's also doing the same with Steve with aiding this underground mystical culture being attack by beings that were unleashed when he defeated the Emissary. and Alot of things that came out of Midsummer Night dreams. its hard to described. give your take here.

Feel like JMS is still gunning for a Dr. Strange run at this rate.

It's such a Doom Patrol story. It's Cap stumbling onto Danny the Street. It's working, though. Steve makes a good straight man/anchor.
