Well the appearance of Lorna in FoX #1 has produced a jolt of online fan interest though it has not as yet penetrated the broader internet discussion as previous bumps for her did. Though we might see some of that after FoX #2.
The main response to casual fans for Lorna’s appearance so far is wow Lorna does something for once.
Ultimately, the character has had previous jolts of interest, though never caught fire in large part because she didn’t keep an independent agenda or her own mutant rights views nor kept fighting for mutants.
The things that really seperate her from her best female friend are her mutant rights views, identity, and edge. Take those away as some runs did you have a character clinically incapable of breaking out.
Hickman playing up her identity as the heir to the HoM did work though it was short lived. Lorna is never more captivating though for audiences then when she fights for mutants in her own way.
Anyway.

Seeing Lorna crashing Knowhere into Orchis brings me such joy, and seeing her cut through Orchis is going to be awesome.
The scene kind of reminds me of when Lorna and her Father attacked an Orchis station in X-Men #1 by Hickman.
It would be a bit of poetic balance if the Krakoan Era of X ends with Polaris, again, launching the living island into space...

YES Capes. YES Masks. YES Secret Identities.
I've been thinking something like that too! One of the very few things I liked about Williams' X-Factor was that moment in the beginning with Polaris bonding with Krakoa, joking about that scene, while also forming the Boneyard / HQ for X-Factor.

Why? Krakoa has been completely recontextualized. He isnt some malevolent villian that they need to stop/get rid of. He isnt the problem. Orchis would love if someone had launched him into space as that would have gotten rid of most of their issues with the mutants. Lorna doing that would equate to her doing their dirty work for them. Within the context of the current times, it wouldnt make sense for Lorna to do this. If you want toe callback, it would be better for her to destroy and launch a bunch of the Stark sentinels airborne as they try to kill Krakoa

Just like Krakoa has been recontextualized, so could Lorna's decision. Instead of it being a "destructive" moment, it would be a "protective" moment, or a moment of survival. So Krakoa can live on elsewhere, safe from Earth and anything born of it.
There is so much left in the Fall of X event, we can only theorize so far. Might as well fantasize about some callbacks.

Well people have theorized that Krakoa will reunite with Arakko on Mars. So having Lorna once again sending Krakoa into space is plausible. It's a cool idea, and like it's been said, an awesome callback to Giant-Sized X-Men.
