Well so far the so called highlights of Betsy being back in a new English body are that she's CB again and dating Rachel, all the while being sidelined from pretty much every major X story. The Asian Betsy wad an A list character, now the English version is down in the C ranks at best sadly.

I hope so. I'm ready for Betsy to stop being Captain Britain. I rather see her be a cameo queen in the main books. Never really felt like Tini's Betsy was Psylocke anyways.

She wasn't A list because of any particular artist as many drew her well and not in the thong outfit. Never said that she was A list because she was Asian but she was a far better character back then. I'm not stuck with Kwannon, I'm stuck with Betsy, not this cheap poorly written copy...

Well, Iceman, Beast, and Gambit were also on that cover and I don't think people consider them A-listers.

I like Betsy but she has been a supporting character for most of her existence.

In the 90s she became more popular because of her Asian version design which was most explored on video games.

But in comics, she always struggled to be relevant.

What put her in the center of the X-men franchise was Uncanny X-force.
Thanks to Remender people saw the character's potential and we got to the point of having her in 3-4 titles at the same time.

People tend to forget that by the late 90s, no writer wanted to touch Betsy and they retired her until CC came back.

People also tend to forget that Betsy used to appear in X-Men, Excalibur and Marvel UK spin-offs at one time. And when was that; the early '90s.

ThatÂ’s what exhaust me LOL. I love Kwannon and I can still acknowledge that Betsy was sidelined as hell when she was in kwannonÂ’s body. She had a popularity boom during the 90Â’s when everybody was in their peak, because of Jim lee, games and TAS. I donÂ’t know what happened, perhaps the complexity of her character or the redundancy of psychic characters, but she was forgotten from the late 90Â’s, stayed dead for 5 years, and she wasnÂ’t actually relevant until the e 2010Â’s when Remender and Bunn gave her central positions in their roster. In my opinion Emma Frost addition to the team during the 00Â’s ruined every chance of Betsy getting a pivotal place in x-men stories. They kinda evoked the same archetype and shared the same powers.

Back in her British Body she alternates between book protagonist and total oblivion. People need to understand that despite our love for the character, Marvel has always treated the character with poor consistency. ItÂ’s was never about the body, perhaps itÂ’s not easy to write our girl with her many layers and such a convoluted backstory, specially when writers have Jean and Emma powers to fill the same role in the field.

Exactly. This has been an ongoing problem for Betsy for a while now. She's in for a while and then out again.
