You know what's cool? You totally have the option of not reading it. It'll likely only be a few pages and have no major bearing on the overall story which is the norm with the Voices stories.

On a brighter note, I know I sound like a broken record but I love that we get Unlimited every week and the next chapter is just a few days away! Also, I wonder if we'll get a glimpse of Betsy at the end of next week's Dead X-Men #2.

Nah! I'm cool. I admit that I don't usually buy those Voices issues but I don't have a problem with the content. Just knowing that if it has a good reviews and sales, it's all good for everyone. And sorry about Tini Howard, though, I'm still hoping for the best for her.

Somewhat yes but loosely. While Xavier and his team are making moves they show us that the war between Orchis and the X-Men is hot and roaring. What can make it tricky is Xavier and Enigma are “outside time and space” so what we’re seeing in Rise is flexible and moves around the timeline. But for the most part the war is happening in Fall while events in Rise are unfolding.

^I see, cheers. No doubt they had to slice much of the plot up to make way for Brevoort, because it's not how you'd expect them to wrap up a story that's been being built for five years.

When you lay it out like that... it's crazy to realize the amount of abuse the Psylockes' bodies received over the years!

Betsy got her eyes gauged out by Slaymaster.
Then she joined the X-Men and received magical plastic surgery to look like an Asian lady.
No wait, she actually swapped bodies with an Asian lady!
Then Kwannon came back in Betsy's body which then got ravaged by the Legacy virus, but not before Kwannon gauged out her own eyes again.
Kwannon died but somehow her conscience lingered somewhere.
Then Betsy got killed, resurrected, body swapped again and her original body was disfigured horribly.

All of the X-Men go through insane stuff all the time but I think writers have a thing for torturing Betsy and Kwannon's bodies specifically... and it's hard not to think they do it because they're both incredibly hot and attractive subjects for torture porn

The Excalibur variant is a bit of a cheat LOL but otherwise it's great to have the Purple Lady regularly show up every month through the end of Krakoa... and hopefully we'll get to hear about plans for what happens next and how Betsy is involved soon.

I would also add to the calendar the whole Madripoor Knights mini, Claremont set up a specific subplot involving Psylocke and the Bacchae in issue one and I think he'll likely follow it through by the end of the book.

Chris: No. That’s what the first issue’s all about: Get it focused on Cap, Natasha, and Logan. On the other hand, that doesn’t mean that at some time in the future, the question might be asked, “Well, what the heck were Psylocke and Jubilee doing for those two days?” Well, maybe we should do a story that shows you what they were doing for those two days.

AIPT: Well, two X-Fans asked this question, so the demand is there.

Chris: Oh, I have no problem with that. But it’s not entirely up to me.

It's funny how he says "No" but both Betsy and Jubilee were pretty heavily involved in the first issue. LOL. But I guess he's leaving the details of their side mission a mystery to possibly be revisited later. If so I'm going to gently lean on Marvel to give us that story!

Oh I think you're right... I love how Claremont keeps planting seeds for sequels, side missions and whatnot, hopefully Madripoor Knights will be successful enough to warrant doing a follow up mini!

A Betsy/Jubilee adventure set in that period would be so much fun. I loved their trio dynamic with Logan.

Also looking forward to seeing David Baldeón's take on Betsy in Dead X-Men. Can't wait to see her in that!
