Marvel Comics has let slip on an as-yet announced X-Men title that Rachel Summers and Betsy Braddock are teaming up. The news was revealed via their Pride Month announcement earlier today.

If I were to guess I’d assume the Phoenix book would be where Rachel and Betsy show up, but given Marvel says it has yet to be announced, the skies the limit on what the title could be called.

Is it not well known for that Jean fore shadow cover and Gails tweet that Jean Grey is getting the Phoenix title.

Nah, it's just that they were listing the characters getting variants and it was cool to drop the nugget of news that a book is coming up.

A character going by Captain Britain in a book titled X-Force or X-Factor? Also, Betsy and Rachel have the same power set. Both of these factors make her a poor fit for a team book.

I don't think they'll relaunch Excalibur, BTW.

Maybe they'll continue to keep Rachel's time-traveling/chronoskimming abilities at the fore and Betsy will be the more focused TP/TK fighter.

They've already said Phoenix is a solo title for Jean. Even if it has other Phoenix hosts on the cast and that's where Rachel comes up, I doubt Betsy would have a big enough role for them to announce her starring in it.

So happy to get a confirmation she’ll be in an X-Book ! I don’t care which one as long as the writing is good and the art makes her beautiful.

(Bummer she’s still dating Rachel though. Don’t love them as a couple. Love them as friends though. )
