They're going to be really leaning hard into the Miles and Kamala ship.
I'm getting the feeling that Weisman is pulling more from the 616 Bendis era of Miles than the most current one with Ziglar when it comes to trying to writing his character. Hopefully he'll be able to catch up on Miles' current source material as the series goes on. Would really like to see how Ramos draws Miles with his Venom-Saber.
Still not opposed to the Miles x Kamala ship if editorial and the writers are actually gonna go for it, as long as the process of getting there is well written.
Also I'm just gonna say what we're all thinking... spoilers:end of spoilers
This has Arcade #$@#$ery written all over it thanks to issue 3's cover but instead of a Murder World Miles and Peter could be trapped in their own heads like what happened to the Hellions in their run when they went up against Arcade and Mastermind in order to rescue Mr. Sinister. GOD I miss that series and those innocent times when we thought Zeb Wells could do no wrong.

Miles Morales: Spider-Man #18 preview

That Spider-Men cover made it occur to me that Kamala and Gwen are being equated as equal in importance in the lives of the Spider-Men, which is kinda crazy to think about.
Didn't expect chasing after Bumbler to be the reason Miles ended up at the Bar with No Name. It makes sense though since he got tech from Rabble and might know where to find her.
The last time Miles went into that bar it turned out better!
(Peter totally would not have cared about being underage if he were in that position).
So now writers remember Kamala's shapeshifting powers just because they got her killed (and I guess that's why her face looked that way?)
Shift now stuck with extra arms.
Which is also funny when Miles has been paired with both (just not 616 Gwen).
