Hhhmmm. It looks like from spoilers that Jon may be the only Super family member not involved in House of Brainiac.
Even Steel, Lana, Jimmy, Silver Banshee, and the Super twins are in it.

"People’s Dreams... Have No Ends"
With DC promoting Jay heavily on DC Pride this year how popular would you say him and Jon are?
Hard to see, I see a lot of general derision for Jay but there are some fans including some people cosplaying as him and Jon.
I'd probably put it at most of the general audience don't really care about the romance but there are fans.
Its like the equivalent to Tim Drake and Bernard. Bernard's not really a popular character but DC will still push the relationship at least for the good optics.
Jay’s popularity begins & ends with Jon who’s already not necessarily popular, they’ll both be pushed in June because being Bi is all Jon has going for him & Jay is aattached to him so gets clout aswell, they break up or Jon gets a steady writer Jay is gone
How are we gauging Jon's popularity?
There isn't.but,He had more people talking about him here when he arrived. Now there is only complaints.for good reasons.
"People’s Dreams... Have No Ends"
How reflective is CBR of fans in general though?
Jon's problem is his popularity is largerly tied to Super Sons i.e it's an extension of Damian's but unlike his BFF he has no real fandom of his own outside of it, now that they've rushed him to be Superman they can't go back but were also at the dawn of a new cinematic universe with Clark as the face of it so continuing to push another Superman in the comics is counterproductive to that so he's essentially hit a creative brick wall.
Also a strong visual design is so important to comic character longetivity
Would most even clock these are suppose to be Jon and not Clark right away? Now consider everyone who don't even read comics.
It's not because if we go by here a LOT of characters and companies not named Marvel or DC shouldn't exist. Because "nobody" reads those books.
Most folks read what they want to read and go about their business.
There is no hoping something someone dislikes fails and should never be used again.
Yet as we have seen with Marvel movies and even the toys and merchandise of both companies-a different story is being told.
Jon does have an audience and like with so many others-they are bothering to post on sites like this. I mean if folks openly have a disgust for your character and some of that has NOTHING to do with story-would you come here?
