Created from 2 of the greatest men, made with 2 powersets thst are both SUPER,and has 2 cool asf looks and attitudes.
I do wonder if the reason Conner and Cassie relationship has been quietly put to bed with out much reference since they got back is similar to reason the Bat office doesn't let any of of their heroes get involved with anyone outside of their own corner, since they're both under different editorial groups and things are possibly more sectioned off with a lot more oversight maybe it was too much of hassle trying to get them back together or maybe there's outright ban on any of various Hero families intermingling.
I do love how clever people get with the Amalgam Universe Spider-Boy combining Peter getting the Symbiote Suit in Secret Wars with Conner wardrobe overhaul to black T-shirt and jeans in 2000's.

That's a really awesome mock cover.
Any idea who Supergirl is combined with there?
She’s American Girl.
Supergirl + Bucky = American Girl.

It looks like it's from Superboy's solo? Or I could be wrong and it's from when Match was posing as Conner in YJ.
It doesn't help that A. they're not in the same book together B. writers don't seem currently keen on the relationship and C. writers aren't as focused on relationships.
I doubt her being called Carol is purely a coincidence, a few of the Amalgam heroes mix several characters together, Spiderboy himself has elements pulled from of Peter, Conner, Ben Reilly and even Pete Ross.
Also just noticing now that's Starfire fused with Shatterstar.
I suppose more my point is are there currently any examples of two characters from different hero families involved together going on at DC at the moment? Only recent example I can think of is Jason and Artemis and you could feel editorials influence at play the way they hooked up at the last minute as a bit of fanservice only to immediately break them up the very next issue and part ways.
