For how popular that design is it's so weird that Spidey Editorial is so adverse to using it. Even Ben's last series they tried to put him in that other outfit.

From what I remember hearing/reading, Marvel's seemed to have always had some weird disdain for the Scarlet Spider costume and name. To the point where it's why there's multiple instances in the Clone Saga where characters take shots at the outfit. I have no idea why though

Even Ben thought it was somewhat stupid and didn't want to be called by that name at first. Still, despite that, it was a banger. Hell, Kaine adopted that name, in spite of hating being called anything to do with Spider-Man, to honor Ben's memory (and then spite Ben for failing to live up to that memory when he turned out to be the Clone Conspiracy's Jackal), so . . .

I wish I saved it on my phone, but I can’t find it anywhere now. I saw it on IG a few weeks ago, but it was fan-art of Ben wearing Kaine’s Scarley Spider costume, but he was wearing the 90’s style ragged hoodie. Has anyone else seen this fanart or has it saved and like to share it? I can’t find it.

Yeah, I got to thumb through a copy. Kaine was written very well. Ben is still angry and crazy, but much better than when Wells was writing him.
